Steal Heels is owned and established by Kimmie Matthews.  We are located in Baltimore County, Maryland not far from the
Chesapeake Bay.  Maryland is known for having many of the oldest equestrian sports, fox hunting, steeple chases, and thoroughbred race horses.  We also are known for blue crabs, stripe bass (rockfish), and fine dinning.  Maryland is blessed with large areas of farming and livestock production throughout the country side. Having four seasons, spring, summer, fall and winter, we experience about all types of weather throughout the year.

Having been a certified professional dog groomer since 1997, worked in a vet facility, and as a dog trainer.  My love of dogs came early to me in childhood and continues today.  I am always striving to learn old things and new things daily.  Most being in all venues of the dog world, my most pleasurable enjoyment of life.

I am currently active in conformation showing (handling), obedience, herding and therapy dog services.  My life is dedicated to the canine world.  All of my stumpies are active in one or two of the above choices, whatever fits them the best as in performance and trainability, and most importantly time.

My kennel foundation:

My breeding program has been started with Canadian Kennel
Club registered Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs.  They are out of Australian and Canadian Imports.  My goal is to purchase hereditary tested breeders that conform to the best conformation standards of ANKC and Canadian breed standards of the Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dogs.

All of my stumpies are strong thinkers and have a strong desire to work or achieve any sport that may do them well in as in conformation showing, obedience, agility, fly-ball, dock diving or service dogs.  They also make excellent companion
family members, when trained properly from an early age on up, and have something to do to occupy their brains.  They can become very destructive when bored.

ASTCDs arent the dog for everyone, so please keep that in mind at all times, before choosing the right dog for you~
They will be your best mate and will stay close by you at all times, rarely letting you out of their sight. 

My kennel plan is to produce and raise quality ASTCDs (dogs or puppies) based on conformation as well as working standards for the breed.

Steal Heels Kennels was designed to remain a small kennel.
This enables me to do selective breeding for soundness, size, type, temperament, and most importantly health.  By maintaining a small number of breeders, this allows me to interact with all of my dogs and puppies frequently on a daily basis.  I strive to continue to betterment the breed as I continue to move forward in the years to come.

All of my breeding stock has been DNA PRA tested, Baer tested, Hips/Elbow tested (OFA database) , Yearly eye cerf and color gene tested (Vetgen) before breedings.
