Appearance-
The breed is described as a well proportioned, square 1-1 with a hard bitten, rugged appearance
Color- Blue-bluespeckled or blue mottled
Red Speckled - undercoat must not be white or cream,
and must be red
Both colors may have head patches and/or body
patches conforming to coat color: black patches on
blue dogs or red patches on red dogs
No "Tan" markings allowed as in the ACDs
Natural bobtail , not to exceed more than 4 inches long
ASTCDs has a more racier appearance than the ACDs and not as heavy in build
Eye color is of dark brown and almond (oval) in shape, in both colors (blue and red) dogs.
Nose is black on both red dogs and blue dogs, nails black
